About

Clifford Bruce Overdorf, a novelist and traditional artist, is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, and was born before the island cluster was a state. He graduated from Montgomery Area High School in Pennsylvania and BYU-Idaho with a degree in English while maintaining a full-time career as an Art Director and writing books in the meager time that might be left at the end of the week.

He is a family man and is involved with his religion. Besides being interested in art and writing, he loves most outdoor sports, and of late, longboard skateboarding has been added to his repertoire. His fascinations include the history of third world countries, their cultures, the distinct features of people, and their customs, all of which contribute to his developing art style and technique.

Over his lifetime, CB has traveled to 49 of the 50 states (save Alaska) and countries in Europe as well as Latin America while serving his country in the military, both the US Air Force and Army. Most of his professional career was spent in New Mexico and Connecticut creating educational material for K-12 and adult training for the aviation industry.

Through his experiences in the military and professional life, he has set his sights on writing fictional novels rooted in some of the stories of the people and lands that he has come to love. Many of the characters in his novels are based on the personalities of his friends, short-term acquaintances, and family members, giving each book a sense of familiarity with someone the reader might have encountered in their own life.

His only goal is to help people find happiness.
